"In February 2025, I had a frozen pipe which burst and caused a fair amount of water damage to floors, cabinets, insulation etc. I finally got everything resolved in June 2025. State Farm ended up paying about $12k and I paid my $8k deductible. I thought that everything was fine. Recently, I was notified that State Farm was not renewing my home policy with 25 days before my policy expired. At least Mr. Ashworth called me at that time, I did not get the notification from State Farm until a week later in the mail and the website said nothing. This is the only claim that I made during the 2 years of having this policy. They are required by law to give at least 30 days notice, and they could have easily done this since the only claim that I made was a year ago. Now I'm forced to try and find high risk insurance(from being non-renewed) at high risk prices on extremely short notice. To add a cherry on top, I had a rock/ice peck in my 2026 car windshield that occurred and ended up being a 12 inch crack by the next day. I made a claim for my windshield, thinking that I have good insurance. I went to Safelite and they told me that State Farm would only pay for aftermarket glass on my brand new car. I appealed and they denied it stating that the aftermarket glass had to fail calibration in order to get OEM glass. I will be non-renewing them on this policy. Think twice about getting State Farm insurance. Jake may not be the same guy that he is in the commercials. If you want to get dropped if you make a claim, and get discount glass on brand new vehicles, go with State Farm."
